Devoko Ergonomic Gaming Chair: Assembly

We’re starting the Devoko chair review with its assembly experience. This chair was a breeze to assemble. It took around an hour to assemble the chair.

Putting it together wasn’t a tough task, and the directions weren’t too difficult to understand either. The chair arrived with all the necessary equipment to assemble it, including multiple bolts and nuts and an Allen wrench in the package.

We started by putting together the gas cylinder and the wheels. That was followed by the chair’s seat, which was exactly matched to its foundation. With the use of screws, we were able to attach the armrests to the base of the seat without having to remove any wood from the seat foundation. We then placed the seat back and the reclining lever on the base of the seat.

Getting the back of the seat to fit in the reclining mechanisms was a little tricky, and it required some wiggle room to get it in position. As a final step, we strapped on the lumbar cushion and the headrest and affixed the coverings for the reclining mechanisms.

We didn’t have any difficulty putting the chair together, and it was a pleasant and straightforward experience. As long as the directions were clear, we didn’t need to re-read them.

Features of this chair

Devoko is a high back gaming chair with a bucket type seat, similar to those used in high-end racing and sports cars. It includes the following:

Build Quality of Devoko Gaming Chair

The chair’s construction quality is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. Even though the chair isn’t heavy, it looks and feels strong, and it can handle up to 330 pounds without wobbling. When I sit in the chair, I don’t notice any sounds that shouldn’t be there; it’s a really stable chair.

The material

Because of its low cost (about $200), most of the gaming chairs at this price bracket are made of synthetic leather (PU). Red and black are a popular color combination in gaming sets, and the sleek red and black style makes it a visual standout. The stitching on this item is flawless. In terms of stitching faults, I haven’t found any, and I haven’t spotted any tears near the stitching either. No tears or punctures in the cloth have been seen when my cat, who isn’t declawed, leapt up on the chair. On the seat and back of the chair, you’ll find an attractive chevron design sewn in.

The cushions

Although they’re amply cushioned, the headrest pillow and the lumbar pillow are sleek and don’t appear like they’re taking up a lot of space. When you rest on the pillows for a while, the foam padding does flatten down, but you can easily puff it back up again. The cushioning can be removed from the chair to fluff it up and to clean the leather if it becomes filthy, thanks to the chair’s zippered leather cover.

The base

The chair’s 5-wheel base is built of a strong plastic material. The chair’s foundation does not seem to have any cracks, thus it can withstand a fair amount of weight and usage while still being robust. I haven’t found any damaged components. You can see that the plastic used in the chair isn’t of the best quality, but it doesn’t appear to be dangerous. Because they’re plastic, the wheels roll quite quietly on hard surfaces.

The armrests

A rough surface on the armrests makes them more comfortable to sit on. But they’re a little too low to the ground. For me, this was not an issue; however, it may be an issue for others.

Review on Comfort and Ergonomics

This Devoko Chair is quite comfy to sit on. It provides a lot of support and alleviates pressure in the proper places. Overall, I think it’s a good chair for a number of purposes, and it’s simple to sit in for a long period of time without being stiff in your joints.

With its design, the chair is characterized as ergonomic, and this is reflected in its description. The chair’s ergonomic features are undeniable for your back. However, it is recommended to include a lumbar support cushion to improve the chair’s comfort and functionality. When used for a lengthy period of time, the pillow’s cushioning does flatten out, but it’s still incredibly comfy. Lumbar pillows may be readily adjusted, but I didn’t have to do any altering when I received this one. Because of the straps that allow you to fine-tune its position, it will be a breeze to use.

For additional neck and spine support, the back is there. No matter how hard or soft you push on it, the headrest always feels just right. The headrest is something you’ll probably want to retain on the chair since the backrest isn’t well-padded at the top.

Conclusion

Overall, this chair is a great value for the amount of comfort it provides. The chair has a very sturdy and robust feel about it. The racing design of the chair enhances my comfort since it cradles my body and I don’t have to get up to stretch for long periods of time. When I’m up late at night gaming or working, I don’t want to disturb my neighbors by generating a lot of noise with my chair.

If you’re on a tight budget, the Devoko Gaming Chair is an excellent bargain for the features it offers.
